Solid Silver Rare English London 1699 Rat-tailed Trefid Spoon. It measures 15cm long, weighs 18 grms. This spoon has no hallmarks, but is prick dot inscribed at the top front of handle with IS 1699. In good condition with an excellent rattail on rear of bowl. no damage or repairs.

Rare piece of Provincial Jersey Silver. A fine Old English Pattern teaspoon from the Jersey silversmith Charles William Quesnel. This spoon maker worked in St. Helier in the first half of the 19th Century. As is often the case, the spoon bares only the maker's mark, which is a distinctive rectangle containing the capital letters CWQ.This maker was working from c1790/56 The spoon has a distinctive heel , which appears on other similar pieces of Jersey flatware and a mongram to the top bearing the letters ELR. It is in very good, undamaged condition.It measures 13cms in length. A rare piece for the collector of Provincial silver.

A rare piece of Provincial silver. A bright cut teaspoon from the Jersey silversmith John le Gallais. This spoon maker worked in St. Helier in the first half of the 19th Century, at one point forming a partnership with Thomas De Gruchy. As is often the case, the spoon bares only the maker's mark, which is very distinctive 3 cojoined circles JLG, followed by a crown and a letter J. John Le Gallais was working from c1820/50 The spoon has a distinctive heel , which appears on other pieces of their flatware and a mongram to the top bearing the letters EMC. It is in good, undamaged condition, with no splits, dents or repairs. It measures 12.5cms in length. A rare piece for the collector of Provincial silver.
